Nope, you didn't get the idea.  I didn't explain it well enough.  Ohhh, now I see.  You think I
meant that they'd store 10GB and I'd store 10GB to verify thier 10GB like in the Sybil paper.

My idea is way better.  Basically they all build a lookup table to cheat on hash cash
calculations:

------ Hash Bank Proposal ---------
When you pick an id I, you hash it with 2^q different numbers and store the pairs <a,b=hash(I+a)>.
 
Then you sort this file with a radix sort by b.
Every time someone wants to verify you they ask for an a where b of <a,b> machtes a number with
its first q bits.
You the user only has to do one hard drive lookup to do this.
They only have to do one hash to check it.



Do you get what I'm proposing now?  See why it's way better, I can force you to store an amount of
random data without storing it myself or transfering it to you.  Sorry I should have been more
forthcoming with the idea, I just wanted to clean it up a bit first.


So you thought I was suggesting us all pitching in and buy some central junk storing device.  :-)
No Jim you're right that idea would blow!!!
