[mnet-devel] general high-level goals for Mnet

As per discussion with Myers on IRC, I'd like to state for the record that
I currently have two immediate, top-level goals for Mnet:
1. Release v0.6.1 soon after making the "stable" branch on Feb. 9. v0.6.1
should have fewer bugs and more small "user experience" features. I would love
it if v0.6.1 had wxGUI on Mac OS X, but currently Myers isn't interested in
doing that so it will only happen if someone else steps up.
See the bug tracker "v0.6.1" group for the bug fixes and features in question.
(Look at the "open" ones to see what we hope to do by Feb. 9 and look at the
"closed" ones to see what we have already done.)
2. Make the mnet_new branch a nice place to play, for ourselves and for other
hackers. This includes: a. file layout, names, documentation, code clean-up
according to coding standards (much of which is already done), b. top-level
documentation about the architecture, protocols, and code, c. comprehensive
unit tests that get run by a cron job in addition to (we hope) getting run by
each developer before and after each CVS commit.
Regards,
Zooko
