sorry about the cutoff:  ...explored previously.  The original system 
went through an interesting arc, starting out very simple, then getting 
very complex as we actually started building it and reacting to lessons 
from our first users, and finally getting much simpler at the end.  I 
thought another list would help to keep the payment discussions from 
overwhelming real code discussions (as sometimes happens...)  For now I 
will send the messages to mnet-devel.
