How about a Node that

1.  fetches random content entries from a random CT
2.  picks one (or more) of the received entries at random and Verifies it
3.  emits a statistic saying that an entry is being verified, and then on 
    success or failure of the verification emits another statistic saying 
    whether the random entry was reconstructable

?
