DoQ isn't broken.  I think the only benefit in switching from DoQ to 
twisted.reactor is to use the higher-layer parts of twisted which depend on 
twisted.reactor.

There may be some small costs to switching in performance, ease of use, or 
feature/bug compatibility, but I feel confident the Twisted folks would act to 
ameliorate those costs when they arise.
