[mnet-devel] why ent? (was: Replacing EGTP with PB over SSL)

The main reason for the existence of ent is to scratch my intellectual itch 
and to have a fully decentralized network with no SPOFs.

No wait, the TWO main reasons for ent are to scratch my intellectual itch, 
eliminate SPOFs, and have a scalable routing scheme.

Well, those are at least three of my motivations.

As for the evolutionary track, Arno was working on getting multiple MTs 
installed, and then he was planning to release Mnet v0.6.2.  It was for this 
purpose that I dubbed him Captain of v0.6.2.  Unfortunately, the Real World 
seems to have lured him away with its siren song.
