[mnet-devel] Mnet users, mac port

Talking with some folks at CodeCon that would like to try Mnet out with a
private net, i.e. they would set up 24 or so nodes, each on a different
computer. I told them: (a) Mnet v0.6.2 would probably do well for that, but
I haven't tried it. (b) I'm not coding on Mnet v0.6.2 anymore, but Arno and
others might. (c) packaging and announcement for v0.6.2 is imminent.

I know there is a problem with the mac port where it depends on the specific
path name which was on the computer where it was built (i.e., the string "zooko"
ppears in the path name that it searches to find libdb.). I had this same
problem earlier, and solved it with some kind of kludge -- I don't remember
exactly, but it involved making sure that it looked in the standard OS X
location for libdb. It was something that I did manually while tar'ing up the
tarball or while building.

Maybe Artimage or someone could try packaging the OS X package? It is trivial:
you just invoke "make binarytar". At least, that's all that I do. We need to
figure out this one other tweak to give the right path to libdb...

Regards,

Zooko
